It's a magical world

Hiiiiii People,

Hope all are in high spirits. I am back home after a month long shoot from South Africa and have some free time at hand, so thought of logging on and checking mails and stuff. Internet- It’s one of the best things that has happened to us, And I have decided to make the best use of it. I was already very active on Facebook when one day it dawned to me that here’s another way where not only can I express myself but also can connect to you guys more. So here I am.

The Internet has fundamentally transformed our lives in ways that we could never have imagined about a decade ago. Its influence on how we connect with each other has been the single most defining factor of the new millennium.

This is the era of networking and when you think about it, we are actually living in a very exciting age, one where you can connect with just about everyone and everything at the click of a mouse. And this is not restricted to individuals or groups - you can literally plug into the universal consciousness and enter a parallel e-world where every person is ‘connected 24 by 7’.

It’s almost as if we have this great supercomputer running on human energy with an infinite number of links that throw up a multi dimensional range of emotions, utterly fascinating and extremely compelling at the same time.

Most importantly, the Internet has played a vital role in changing the one-dimensional way in which people used to previously get information, which would more often than not, end up shaping their perceptions in a rather skewed manner.

For instance- the story of the five blind men and the elephant. For those who skipped this one in school, it’s about how each one of them bases his impressions on the portion of its body he comes into contact with. The one who gets hold of the tail declares that the elephant is like a rope, the one who grabs its leg swears that it is like a tree trunk and so on.

Similarly people often end up making up their minds about people they have never met - especially celebrities - after just glancing through a few gossip columns. Someone would tag you in one manner another would fit you in one slot.

Having been through this sort of multi dimensional assessment myself, this blog is my way of saying there’s a lot more to me than just a sum of all the parts people tend to gossip about. I am what I am and through this blog, you will in time, get to know the real me.

Until my next post you guys can catch me on Khatoron Ke Khiladi on Colors channel. Some time later I'll write about how it was to be there.

Hugs and happiness,

Pooja

  5. Pooja, I read your blog. True. I can imagine the labels people push onto celebrities and famous people. Well, some news reporters sometimes pull things out of proportion to increase viewers. I know it is part of their job to gain more audiences, but should not focus on mere rumours. (I have nothing against reporters, but voicing my opinion on a specific aspect)
Yeah, you are who you are and nobody can take that away from you. Keep smiling and live life to the fullest!

  26. Good post!!From your blog everybody gets an impression that u r what u r and the story which u mention about blind men suits well for the celebrities(elephants) and people who do not u..Keeping this point in view we are building a website which suits all the needs for the celebs to interact with their fans....

    Take care..

  27. Well written..the power of internet is unfathomable..what we all need to do is discuss common issues and bring to light our needs and intersts and how we can help each other grow as individuals and also professionally and business wise across the distances..For instance a home maker like me who was teaching before marriage is trying to promote handmade cards made by women sitting in a small town in the Aravalli Hills and i can if peopleconnect with me be able to send them to Hong Kong or anywhere in the world..we need a forum so we connect..

Our place which is Danta..w have our own Heritage Palace Hotel.and because of the lack of marketing which now i am trying to look afer people dont knnow that we exist..
Look up www.bhavanivilladanta.com that i have just finished .We are close to the worldfamous Ambaji temple..which is 18 kms from our Palace. We are exactly 2 hrs 20 mins by road from Ahmedabad.Do emailme at divyajdebi@gmail.com

Pooja would be happy to know what you think of it all as well...
    best wishes

  29. Hey..liked the analogy u drew with the elephant & blind men story..quite relevant & interesting..the 'impression' is mostly perception driven & pre conceived..What better way to express yourself than blogosphere..looking forward to more posts..Cheers!!!

  32. Pooja,
What a splendid surprise to see your blogging site and to read more about you. I will begin by stating that I am not in India, but live in Canada and hence do not have the privilage of seeing all the wonderful shows or write ups that you have been involved with. I am sure they all are available out here, but I have not had the time or the exposure to it here. But Pooja, I have known you since you started your acting career. I loved your performance in 'Jo Jeeta Whoi Sikandar'. Apart from all the cast and team, you were simply brilliant in the role. I was awestruck by your beauty and the character you portrayed in it. I have seen a few other films you did later on, but since I moved on out of India, I kind of lost touch with Hindi cinema, till INTERNET happened and boy I am glad to have come closer to so many aspects of it. I am true Indian at heart and love everything about our great country - India... you included!!!
Kudos to you and all the work you do. I admire your father as well and loved what your mother performed when she was well and on stage.
I wish you all the very best always and please keep up with the good work. We need to keep seeing the sparkle that shine in your eyes.

  73. Hey Pooja,
Just finished watching the Khatron ke khiladi show today (the dashing jeep and Jetski /helicopter combined stunt).i read a few comments as posted by people about you being beautiful etc etc .....which you are no doubts on that :)...but i really appreciate the way you supported your partner in the show throughtout especially today where you took the blame equally when it was pretty clear he had made mistakes in both the stunts.
The way you have expressed yourself on the show is really cool without bothering about the camera.
My favorite moments till date have been the continuous laughter outburst after the stunts on todays show where your partner kept shouting (Push Push Push POOJA ,right right …I mean left or the time when you stopped for his instructions and he said where to go now? ) ….really hilarious…..or the time when you kept cursing yourself for not completing the bicycle stunt.
Could go on and on and on…..
Hope to see more of you in the future.
Finally One request for autograph of not the sexy, or the beautiful pooja bedi (which I reiterate you def are  but the kind hearted Pooja

  76. Dear Pooja ,
This is my first time on the blog ( that is how its said i hope ! ). Read recently that you had started this so I thought i'd take the plunge .We are following KKK closely and you're the hot favorite with everyone i meet.
I want you to know that you're taking on an inspirational role which it seem's you would be very good at handling .You could actually do a lot of good for women empowerment. So great going.
A few compliments - I was in training at the Military academy in 1990 and you were absolutely everyones favorite. You have an unquestionable presence and aura and we have been reading about you - with admiration and sympathy all these years.
Wish you all the best and i feel you should deal with public issues as people would listen to what you have to say.
Best wishes and do wish you had been able to do 3 meters more in the car jump - that was some jump though !!

  84. Hello Pooja,

It is very nice to read the thoughts of fully active personalities like you madame. Because, many times, we think of certain things about what's happening in the life, why they are doing like this and what would have happened, etc etc and this is a way of expressing your emotional talks unplugged to the world around.

All the best and keep writing and we are keen to read more and learn more from your life and experiences.

  85. Hi,

This is my first ever "log-on-a-blog"! I substantially agree with your views on the internet revolution and how it has changed our lives. As far as celebrity reporting is concerned, one would argue that there can be no smoke without a fire... hence though most of what is reported about a celebrity in a bad light may not be palatable, there could be some truth to it. But then there is a saying that people in public places should not be too thin skinned to the comments made about them. Ya.. i know...its easler said than done ... Personally, i do not get influenced by media reports as i believe that the media has crossed all boundries of "reasonablensss" and ethics when it comes to journalism in any form. Example ?? look at the Arushi murder case. The media went beserk and had a field day in maligning her parents' reputation.
But behind the beauty and charisma, i see a sensitive person in you through your writing. Will be interesting and fun to read your blog.

  86. I am sure you will write about `How did you feel about it' - Once you return Young Lady, but I have been watching all of you on that Stunt Sets and despite claiming to be fearless ... I have shivered sitting in front of the tube!

Hats of to you guys and ofcourse your wonderful coaches ...!!
